Finishing Up 2014

It's been a few months since I last posted so, of course, I have lots to catch up on.
Here are just a few of the highlights from the end of 2014-

August:

At the end of the month we were able to spend a weekend with my family in Idaho.
We went boating and even fit in a day trip to Silverwood Theme Park.

Dad skiing and Nick on the Jet ski

The girls just hanging out in the boat, enjoying the great outdoors!

 Love our cute girls!

One happy grandpa

Colt and Charlize

Charlize had a BLAST at Silverwood!!

Brooklynn seemed to enjoy the park, too.

September:

Charlize's first day of preschool.
She was so excited to go to her first day of school, and it didn't disappoint.
She really loves school and is learning so much!

She loves her pink owl backpack.

We decided to celebrate the first day with a post-school doughnut.

Bath time:
I seriously can't get enough of this little girl's smile!

Enjoying the last few days of warm weather with some croquet in Grandma's backyard.

She's planning her next move.

October:

These girls love playing outside.  Even before Brooklynn could walk, she was determined to keep up with Charlize so we had to do a little improvising.

Charlize has since improved but I still love showing off her first few real legible printed names:

This is also her first recognizable drawing.

Visiting Bill's Berry Farm:

Their pumpkin doughnuts are the absolute best.  And, they serve them warm!

I basically had to drag her onto the pony, but she ended up loving it.
She was smiling the whole time and didn't want to get off when her turn was over.

We had lots of fun at the farm!

Pumpkin carving with Grandma & Grandpa Wright:
This is so unlike Charlize--she hates getting dirty and she hates trying new things.  We had to pressure her a little but she did it and she thought it was pretty fun!

Grandpa is always a good babysitter.

A month shy of turning one, we were all excited to see Brooklynn walk.  She probably would have done it sooner but I think she didn't because we wanted her to so badly.  She continues to prove to me that she is strong and determined but also stubborn.... she will do things her way and when she is ready.

Three generations hard at work.

Rewarding herself for her hard work with a little cocoa.

The finished products-- bet you couldn't guess that Nick carved Snow White and Grandma Wright carved the BYU pumpkin.

Grandma and Grandpa Warren surprised Charlize with tickets to the Disney on Ice show.  It was like Christmas in October--she was so excited to watch the princesses sing and dance!!

It doesn't get better than staying up late with Grandma & Grandpa, Disney princesses and cotton candy!

Halloween:
